On March 26, Équipe Montréal, the Association of LGBTQ2+ & Allied Sports and Leisure Clubs of the Greater Montreal Area, held a wonderful evening to honour the athletes, volunteers and events that have distinguished themselves over the past year.
The event, brilliantly animated by the vivacious Barbada, gave the opportunity to 3 members of Tennis Lambda to be recognized.
Pierre Savard : Tennis Lambda's athlete of the year.
Pierre Degarie : best volunteer of Tennis Lambda.
Vincent Paré : best volunteer of the year.
Moreover, the Coupe de la Reine tournament was nominated in the category of best event in Montreal. Each year, this tournament has attracted more than 140 players from the LGBTQ2+ community from around the world, and that for nearly three decades.
Thank you to the organizers for giving us the opportunity to recognize and honour the outstanding contributions of our volunteers and players. From supporting our programs and events to offering their time and expertise to help us make a positive impact on our community, our volunteers play a vital role in our organization.
